2022 Chevrolet Silverado EV – Chevrolet has officially confirmed that it will be joining the second wave of manufacturers of electric-driven pickup trucks, following in the footsteps of Nissan and Toyota.
The Chevrolet Silverado EV is to be joined by the previously announced 2020 GMC Hummer EV Pickup for the next few years. Nissan’s plan is to mass produce its own battery-powered sport utility vehicle. The Japanese automaker is targeting small, mid-size and large fleets for its first joint venture with the U.S. arm of General Motors.

The batteries are expected to provide smooth, quiet operation, long driving ranges, and reliable energy delivery. They also promise to extend the life of the batteries by improving their capacity to handle the torque and power being applied to the drive train. This in turn should allow the battery to be used much longer before requiring replacement, something that will undoubtedly benefit both manufacturers.
